About me
I was born in Talaja, Bhavnagar, and raised with Gujarati roots, a close family, and a habit of saying yes to hard roads — whether that meant factory floors at Reliance, late nights learning AI, or a trek to Everest Base Camp.
Professionally I work as a Machine Learning / AI Engineer in Mumbai. Personally I’m a cyclist, trekker, swimmer, traveller, and photographer — and someone who finds peace at a piano and in quiet meditation.
I’m looking for a lifelong friend — caring, ambitious, and family-oriented — someone to build an honest, warm life with.

I was the boy full of enthusiasm — curious about how things work: why a machine moves, why a formula suddenly “clicks,” why the world humans built looks the way it does.
From primary school, maths and science felt natural to me. Numbers still do. To me, numbers have a rare honesty — they can carry a truth that stays hidden in words. That love of numbers is the same thread that later pulled me toward engineering, and then toward data and AI.
Not every subject felt like home. Languages and social science never held me the same way — I could study them, but I didn’t fall in love with them. Looking back, that unevenness is part of the story: I was strong where curiosity lived, and ordinary where it didn’t.
Though now I feel history and arts are interesting fields too — maybe I simply never met the teacher who could light that spark for me. I’ve come to believe curiosity grows where guidance is kind.
One more important thing I learned was discipline. I remember I only had 1 leave in my entire 8th & 9th class.
What I remember most is energy — wanting to understand, wanting to try, wanting to know what was next. School didn’t make me perfect. It made me curious. And that curiosity never really left.

Chapter 02

Choosing a branch felt like choosing a version of myself. I was torn between Mechanical and Computer — both pulled at me for different reasons.
So I did something simple and honest: I surrendered the decision to Dad. I wanted a career that could touch aerospace someday, and I loved physics. Seniors suggested Mechanical too. Dad agreed. And that is how Nadiad began.
Then came first year — and Programming in C. Suddenly a new door opened. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to switch to IT or Computer Science. I even applied for a branch change… and I didn’t get it. Looking back, that closed door kept me inside a world I ended up loving deeply.
Mechanical Engineering taught me to see ordinary life as a set of beautiful systems. How a power plant turns heat into electricity for a whole city. How an automobile takes tiny controlled explosions and turns them into a smooth drive. How an airplane cabin stays cool while flying through freezing sky. Why a pressure cooker finishes food faster. Why a ceiling fan feels cooler than still air. Why gears can make a small engine pull a heavy load. Why a fridge feels warm at the back while it keeps milk cold in front. Once you learn to ask “how?”, the world never looks plain again.
Those four years were not only study — they were friendship, workshops, late-night doubts, sudden clarity, and a lot of fun. I fully enjoyed Mechanical Engineering. And somewhere between thermodynamics and machine design, I also kept the spark of coding alive. Both sides of me were growing — the builder who loves machines, and the curious mind who loves logic.

Chapter 03
Hazira, Surat · Manager / Maintenance Engineer · 2019–2022
After B.Tech, I got placed at Reliance Industries Limited, Surat — and I was truly happy. It was the very first time I started earning. I had no idea then that money isn’t the only thing.
Soon I realised something important: I did like studying Mechanical Engineering, and maybe I would have loved it even more if the work had been about designing. But maintenance? That wasn’t the life I wanted for the rest of my years. For the first time, I was clear about what I did not want. What came next was still a question mark.
So I started figuring it out. I took courses in Machine Learning and Data Science. Then COVID arrived — and with longer work-from-home days, I suddenly had space to learn deeply. I entered that world again… and something clicked.
I figured out what I had sensed while choosing my B.Tech field: Computer Science — logic, building with code, learning from data — was what I truly wanted to do for the rest of my life.
The challenge was real. My degree was Mechanical. My job was in the same field, and it paid well. Switching felt difficult. In India I couldn’t simply jump into a master’s in CS without GATE — and GATE expected a CS background I didn’t have. So I planned for the US / Canada, built a portfolio of projects, and strengthened my theoretical foundation along the way.
That preparation helped me earn admissions to universities in the US, Canada, and the UK. Then my Canada visa was rejected — “field mismatch.” For a while it felt like the door had closed and I was stuck.
And then Jio introduced a new programme in AI & Data Science. I already had admissions material, an SOP, and projects from applying elsewhere — and that preparation became my bridge into Jio Institute. A closed door. A new beginning.

Chapter 04
PG Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science · Ulwe, Navi Mumbai · 2022–23 · CGPA 8.63
Here I finally landed to study what I had always wanted. It was only a one-year programme — and still, it filled my life with memories, friendships, and a kind of learning that felt alive every day.
After three years inside plants, this place felt like heaven. I learned some of the best AI subjects and technologies with professors who came from abroad to teach — people who made complex ideas feel clear, and curiosity feel natural again.
We also had a study-abroad module with NTU Singapore. I got the chance to study there and explore Singapore — a short chapter inside the bigger chapter, and one I’ll always be grateful for.
The heart of what I learned here was this: how to handle so much data, how to turn it into fruitful insights, and how to train models from that data for future prediction — and so much more around it. For the first time, the path I had been searching for had a classroom, a campus, and a name.

Chapter 05
Mumbai · Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer · Fynd (Shopsense Retail Technologies) · 2023–now
After mechanical engineering, factory floors at Reliance, and a year diving deep into AI at Jio Institute, this is the chapter where the switch became my everyday work. I moved to Mumbai and joined Fynd as a Machine Learning / AI Engineer — the path I had been building toward, finally under one job title. Today I continue in that role as a Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer, still building, still learning, and still enjoying the craft.
In simple words: I teach computers to learn from large amounts of data, so software can make smarter decisions on its own. Instead of writing every rule by hand, we build systems that notice patterns, predict what might happen next, and get better with experience — a bit like how people learn, but at the scale of millions of data points.
Day to day, that means turning messy real-world information into models, checking whether those models actually help, and shipping the improvements into products people use. I’m still curious, still hands-on, and still learning — only now with a clearer seat at the table.
